Flag of Imam Husain (a.s.), is a flag raised and hoisted on the Dome of the Imam Husain Shrine. A red color flag is hoisted all year long and is replaced with a black color flag during the period of mourning in the months of Muharram and Safar. Occasionally, the care takers of the Imam Husain Shrine present these flags to different organizations as a gift and tabarruk. This flag is a symbol of Imam Husain (a.s.) and his mission. We are fortunate and honored that this flag was presented to the Az-Zahra Center when a group of people from Kansas City visited the Imam Husain Shrine for ziarat last month. We are planning to exhibit this flag to our community so we can do its ziarat and show our allegiance to Imam Husain (a.s.). This is a very sacred and important occasion for our center as we were considered worthy of receiving this flag of Imam Husain (a.s.). We will be hoisting the flag during the program of Jashn-e-Wiladat of Amir-ul-Momineen Imam Ali Ibne Abi Talib (a.s.), which is going to be held this Saturday, April 15th, 2017 at the Az-Zahra Center.
