The Holy Prophet (saw) said:

Whoever kindles a light in a house of worship, the Angels and bearers of Allah’s arsh will ceaselessly pray for his or her maghfirat [forgiveness in which the forgiven past sins are substituted with good deeds] as long as that light illuminates the masjid.
