May the great blessings of Muharram be a beacon for hope and salvation for all of us. May this month reignite the love and understanding of our Holy Imam (AS) and his pious family and companions. We pray that Allah (swt) keeps us all on the path of Ahlul Bayt and protects us from the evil designs of Shaitan. Ameen

The Board of Trustees wants to thank all those involved with the majalis programs and for making the center an important place for the mu’mineen to meet and learn about Islam. Special thanks to all the speakers who have presented various topics on the importance of our beliefs. We thank Maulana Dr. Mohamad Dungersi, Sayyid Haider Baharul Uloom, and Br. Jalal Moughania and Br. Ali Moughania for their presentations and for sharing their knowledge of our Ahlul Bayt. May Allah (swt) give them all good health and a long life. We pray that they will insha’Allah join us again soon. We want the community to tell us if they have any special topics that they want future speakers to address. Thanks to all the people for sponsoring the weekend majalis, bringing in food, reciting marsiyas, nauhas, etc. Without their help, there would not have been such a vibrant gathering. May Allah (swt) reward each and every one involved in making this a success. Ameen.

We also thank our community for being so mindful of not wasting food and water. We have made a great stride in these efforts and insha’Allah hope we will do even better job in the future. Whenever we drink water, we must remember the companions and shuhada of Karbala and their suffering. They were our role models and their sufferings and sacrifices should be the examples we should try to follow. Parents and adults, please remind the young ones to take just the amount food and water that they can consume and teach them not to waste.

As Maulana Dungersi stated several times during his presentation that we should all take niyaz (food that is served in a majlis) as tabarruk to our loved ones who could not come to the center. If one wants to take some food home, please do so after everyone has had a chance to eat. So, please wait until everyone has had a chance to take their first helping before you pack some for your loved ones. Please understand that this is not meant to discourage people from taking the tabarruk to your family. We hope we did not offend anyone by bringing this to your attention. Please make du’as for those who cooked, cleaned, washed, and make the center so nice and beautiful. May Allah (swt) grant them great reward for their efforts and their generosity.

The following brothers have been elected unopposed to the BOT: Br. Abu Ali Jaffri; Br. Murtaza Khani, and Br. Jameel Agha. Their 3 year term expires on Dec. 31, 2017. Please make du’as for the success of these members.
